ID Notes
The water hoglouse crawls along the bottom of the tray.
They look like woodlice and can be spotted crawling along the bottom of the tray as they are poor swimmers.
They have flattened bodies top to bottom (dorso-ventrally), like a leaf
Segmented bodies
Two pairs of antennae, one pair very long
7 pairs of jointed legs
Water Hoglouse are grey-brown in colour and can be found in most waterbodies, where the current is not too strong.
