Damselflies are delicate and slender and closely related to dragonflies.

Damselflies swim with gentle, undulating movements of their bodies, aided by their tails.

Tails can be broken off causing come confusion.

Damselflies can be found in slow-moving water like ponds and lakes.

They are predatory and feed on various small animals.
