Flatworms glide along the tray.

Many groups can be identified by their movement. Flatworms glide along the bottom of the the tray, rather than looping or wriggling.

  • They have unsegmented bodies

  • Flattened top to bottom (dorso-ventrally), like a leaf

  • Have eye spots but these can be hard to see

They can be found under stones and on the surface of silt deposits.

They are both a predator and scavenger.
