Dragonflies do not swim.
Dragonflies breathe through gills located inside the rectum and, instead of swimming, are propelled forward by a jet of water ejected from their rear.
They have 3 pairs of visible legs
Their body terminates in short spines instead of tails
They have stout bodies
They crawl and can dart quickly to help catch prey or escape from other predators.
