An exciting new PhD on the impact of low flows on salmonid river ecosystems
The studentship is fully funded with a three year stipend at the current research council rate (£14,057 in 2015-16) and the successful candidate will be supervised by John Iwan Jones (Queen Mary University of London), Bill Riley (CEFAS), Rasmus Lauridsen (Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust) and Siân Griffiths (Cardiff University). FBA North East and Yorkshire Regional Group Meeting

The FBA North East and Yorkshire Regional Group is re-launching with initially, an evening meeting on the 28th July hosted by the Canal and River Trust in Leeds. The group is open to anyone with an interest in the ecology and biology of streams, rivers, ponds, wetlands, lakes and canals, including academics, consultants, government agencies, planners and specialist interest groups. The aim is to ensure a mix of research focused and applied talks at each event, which should interest be sufficient, will involve a mix of day and evening sessions.
