Manuscript submission
Inland Waters accepts manuscripts in three categories: Articles (manuscripts of about 5000 words, with appropriate tables and figures), Research Briefs (focal articles of <2500 words, with limited tables and figures) and Plenary Lectures (submitted upon invitation only, in conjunction with SIL Congresses). All aspects of physical, chemical, and biological limnology across organizational levels from autecology to ecosystem studies are appropriate, as are papers on applied and regional limnology. Open-access publication is encouraged: all articles become open access 36 months after publication, with earlier open access available at modest rates (see ‘Author Charges’ below).

Manuscripts should be submitted via the FBA's online journal system. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting. If you are already registered, you can simply log in and begin the 5-step submission process.
