Women in the History of Natural Sciences

The Society for the History of Natural History's summer conference will be on the theme of Women in the History of Natural Sciences, to take place in the Lake District, at the University of Cumbria Ambleside Campus on Thursday 15th June and at the Freshwater Biological Association, at Far Sawrey, on Friday 16th June 2017. 

This meeting will focus on the lives, work and stories of less well-known women who have made significant contributions to the life and earth sciences, whether as female virtuosi/ amateurs or as pioneering professionals. The Society’s AGM will take place at the FBA on the afternoon of Thursday 15th June
