Facilities Assistant - Post Filled

£15,500 - £17,000 (Pro Rata) 20 hours per week

The Freshwater Biological Association is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Facilities Assistant at its Ferry Landing offices on the western side of Windermere. The Freshwater Biological Association is a small independent charity with offices in Windermere and Dorset, promoting the sustainable management of freshwater ecosystems and resources. Based in Windermere, the Facilities Assistant will support the Facilities Manager in maintaining its Windermere Estate. FREE - NERC funded places for Freshwater Advanced Training Short Course - APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED

Supported by NERC, the Freshwater Biological Association and Bournemouth University are offering an Advanced Training Short Course in Freshwater Taxonomy and Field Identification Skills. This five day course will be run at the FBA River Laboratory in Dorset 27 June - 1 July 2016. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis (priority will be given to those with NERC funding).

FBA Annual Scientific Meeting & Open Day May 2016 UPDATE

Please note that these events have now taken place. With many thanks to all the presenters and attendees for making them such a success, and an informative and enjoyable few days at the FBA.

Catchments, Connectivity and avoiding Catastrophes - Registration deadline is 29 April  for the FBA Annual Scientific Meeting at Windermere on Wednesday, 11 May 2016.
