The FBA Annual General Meeting - Lancaster

The 87th Annual General Meeting of the Freshwater Biological Association will take place at 12:30 hrs on Thursday, 13 October 2016 at the Lancaster Environment Centre, Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK.

The AGM is being held in conjunction with the Cumbrian Lakes Research Forum 2016.

Sample and identify freshwater phytoplankton on our FBA course

Book your place now on the FBA's training course: 'Introduction to phytoplankton’ taking place on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 September 2016 at our Windermere site near Ambleside, Cumbria. Participants will collect, examine and identify common freshwater phytoplankton, and the course will cover both practical and theoretical aspects of phytoplankton ecology. Gilson Le Cren Memorial Award

Gilson Award
The Gilson Le Cren Memorial Award is an annual grant (up to £4000) given by the FBA to support scientific research into freshwater biology. Applications for this year’s award are invited between 15 August and 15 September 2016. Application is open to FBA members in good standing who joined the FBA on or before 1 May 2016.
