Riverfly Partnership training sessions held at FBA

As a Regional Hub for the Riverfly Partnership (RP), the FBA held a training course and a refresher session for Riverfly monitoring groups in the last few weeks. The sessions were run in conjunction with South Cumbria Rivers Trust, and the enthusiastic participants ignored the rather damp conditions to enjoy a field and lab based introduction to invertebrate sampling and identification for the RP monitoring method. The groups are now ready to go out and start monitoring their own stretches of river on a regular basis.
