Sample and identify freshwater macroalgae on our FBA course

Book your place now on the FBA's training course: 'Identifying macroalgae' taking place Wednesday 25 – Thursday 26 May 2016 at our Windermere site near Ambleside, Cumbria. Participants will learn how to collect and identify those freshwater macroalgae most likely to be encountered during LEAFPACS and other freshwater surveys. Also includes an introduction to the use of macroalgae for rapid assessment.

The two-day course is tutored by Martyn Kelly and Allan Pentecost.

Facilities Assistant - Post Filled

£15,500 - £17,000 (Pro Rata) 20 hours per week

The Freshwater Biological Association is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Facilities Assistant at its Ferry Landing offices on the western side of Windermere. The Freshwater Biological Association is a small independent charity with offices in Windermere and Dorset, promoting the sustainable management of freshwater ecosystems and resources. Based in Windermere, the Facilities Assistant will support the Facilities Manager in maintaining its Windermere Estate.
