Vision
Fresh water is a vital element for life. From the smallest microscopic organism to the largest mammal we all make demands for this essential resource. The Freshwater Biological Association's vision is to achieve a complete understanding of how our fresh waters operate, in order that they can be managed sustainably, for all their users. In order to best maintain this valuable resource we need to understand the science behind water; only then can we appreciate the ways that our rivers, lakes and wetlands behave and understand the ecological consequences of our use of water.
