The Future of Freshwaters (FBA / IEEM Inaugural Conference)

In the light of current developments across all sectors associated with the use, management and protection of the UK’s fresh waters, the FBA and IEEM are forming a joint freshwater specialist group to promote the need for the fusion of good science with best management practice.

This inaugural conference is aimed at all those who are professionally involved in the identification,
assessment and management of potential impacts on the freshwater environment, particularly with regard to such drivers as:
• The Water Framework Directive
• The Habitats Directive
• Water Resources Planning
• River Basin Management Plans
• Climate Change

There will be speakers from the primary interested parties and this conference will be of particular importance to those representing:
• Regulatory Authorities
• Statutory Consultees
• Science, research and education
• The water industry
• Planners and managers
• Consultants and practitioners.

The conference will cover:

• Future requirements.
