FBA News
FBA News has been a popular membership benefit since Spring 1996. As well as being a mouthpiece for members and a providing a forum for sharing ideas, it includes news, reviews and articles on a range of subjects from data to diatoms and ponds to policy.
A typical issue will include an editorial, Director's column, a variety of articles on current research, reminiscences of past scientific endeavours, reports from local, national and international meetings, summaries of interesting subjects, tributes to those no longer with us, pull out and keep reference material, opinion pieces on the hot topics of the day and Association News to keep members up to date with current FBA matters, as well as a diary of forthcoming events and letters from members.
The format and look of FBA News changed in Spring 2007, with full colour and a more contemporary feel, but the mix of content remains as varied as ever and submissions from members are actively encouraged.
Article Submission
FBA News is published three times annually (Spring, Summer, and Autumn/Winter) and is distributed to all FBA members, from whom we welcome articles. Material for publication should be submitted electronically as a Microsoft Word document or in the body of an email (please supply any images as separate JPEG or TIFF files). In extremis hard copy or even hand-written may be acceptable. Please send copy for the Newsletter to the FBA News Editors, Dr Melanie Fletcher & Dr Jonathan Grey.

Full page = £145 + VAT
Half-page or more = £95 + VAT
Quarter-page or more = £60 + VAT
Less than quarter-page = £40 + VAT.
Options for multiple adverts and multiple issues are also available. Pre-printed inserts are charged at £45.00 per issue, per insert. Special rates are offered to FBA Members. Entries in the Diary section are free of charge and should be emailed to mfletcher@fba.org.uk.
