Course Programme 2017

Our new programme of Freshwater Courses for 2017 is now available online and was sent to members with the Winter issue of FBA News.

Our ever popular hands-on courses equip you with the skills and confidence to sample and identify freshwater plants and animals, and provide you with key field and laboratory experience. Tutored by leading experts in freshwater biology and ecology, our courses use a selection of authoritative FBA identification keys.

There are options for all levels, whether you are an enthusiast or student wanting an introduction to freshwater organisms, or a recorder or environment professional wanting to refresh or increase your existing knowledge.

Keen anglers can also improve their freshwater knowledge and potentially their catch by booking on our popular entomology for anglers programme led by international fishing legends Stuart Crofts and Andrew Dixon.

All courses take place at our well-equipped labs on Windermere or the River Frome at East Stoke in Dorset, and other UK locations. Bespoke, tailored training is also available on request at our facilities or your own site.

We offer reduced rates for FBA members.

Book your place

Download the booking form and email it to events@fba.org.uk or call our events team on (0)1539 442468. We can then advise you of any discount applicable.

We will be adding to our course programme throughout the year, so keep an eye on our courses webpage
